“THE MASTERPIECE YOU ARE”

And maybe your insecurities haunt thou by night,
Maybe the scars that have been left behind
From the sufferings thou hast lived by,
And maybe the love you always lived for left you as a passerby.

But believe me on every word I say, I wouldn’t lie even if my heartbeats sway.
Every memory we’ve made, to all your smiles my eyes have ever laid,
I’ve brushed it down on a canvas,
A canvas I saved all my life for, a masterpiece which shall remain
In a gallery full of Monets and Picassos, so that everyone can gaze and admire the serenity you have placed with every breath you take.

And trust me when I say, I have written you a poem which shall remain,
Even after I have secluded to a grave.
A poem which shall pale all of Shakespeare’s tales,
A poem which shall prevail to eternity, of your glowing tales.

And trust me when I said, because I swear I will say it again
With all the energy that remains when I take the last breath I shall ever lay.
