“Unrequited love”

At times, I did love few of those
Who, like celestials, had a sparkling glow.
Up in the heavens, among the moon, they glow,
Yet distant and afar, their warmth on my soul.

And how I loved few of those,
For I packed my love in a huge, bulky box.
Yet their crooked souls, like a slander slot
On a red conspicuous mail box,
Unsoliciting my love in the big bulky box.

Though disheartened, I heard an eternal song,
A song which preached  to keep afar these celestial-like souls,
For if the stars did sway any close,
They’ll burn us and every other soul.

So did I learn from the song,
To pack only an envelope and not a big, bulky box
For those with impotent hollow souls.
