The Ostentatious Lady

A Love Story

Across the room, she prissed and pranced
Flaunting her beauty as she danced
Not really as naughty as some would think
Just full of wine and other strong drink.

Giving the handsome young men a glance
As the night was filled with love and romance.
She pranced and glided with such an air
That many others were led to stare.

She acted a lot like a young southern bell
Mingling and dancing for quite a spell
As she tired she walked into the night
To the balcony where the moon shined bright.

A young man looked from across the room
Noticing her beauty, he was taken very soon
He made  his way towards her to see
If he might talk with her possibly.

As he walked towards her he tried not to show
What he felt for this woman he did not know
He almost turned and went back in
but it was to late for  she noticed him.

And so there they were facing each other
And somehow they knew that they loved one another
He never believed in love at first sight
but love found it’s way to them both that night.

It seemed he could look into her heart
and see who she was from the very start
Not so ostentatious as some might say
but a beautiful lady, just happy, and gay.

Then he reached out and took her in his arms
and said will you be mine from this day on
The love they felt gave them such a thrill
So with a heart full of love she said I will.

The End.

Not every person is as they appear on the outside. It just takes someone to
come along and see what’s on the inside of them, and love them fully,
completely and unconditionally. This story is purely fictional, but there
could have been a similar circumstance happen in someones life.
