You taught us -
souls mold like puzzle pieces
connecting to one another
creating, nurturing
the embodiment of
heart.
You cemented us
together by selflessness,
roars of laugher,
tears shared over coffee -
patience and
love.
You mastered
the gift of togetherness
a friend to all.
The puzzle piece that
bonds and completes the
incomplete.
While alone -
in your darkness
a single shot
echoed in our souls
shattering a thousand hearts into

I wrote this poem in memory of my dearest friend who lost his battle with depression. Rest in peace my friend - I will see you again at the feet of Christ.
