Illusion

Another night fell still - within silence
reflections dance upon the wall.
The phone remains in the curve of a  cradle
heart breaks to absence of her call.

Where do I go from here? He ask.

While the scent of  her relevance  lingers -
moonlight shimmers of illusion from earlier day
The  tightness in his chest all over,
truth echoes  absence of her intent to stay.

Where  do I go from here? He ask.

Emptiness soaks a once full room
where heart and soul entwined
exuberance of youth  had faded away
Fear replaced  ego,  much too  soon in time.

Where do I go from here? He ask as he takes a step forward and moves on.
