Pine Tree Blues

Oh woe is me, I’m a Pine you see
And Christmas has come my way.
Past years weren’t bad; I was limp and looked sad
So I was spared, to live another day.
 
But last year’s weather was so much better
Now I’m tall and straight as can be.
Bad news, I’m afraid, I’ve just been waylaid
And I’ll end my days as a Christmas tree.
