When I am there
Dear sweet brown eyes,
How I long to see them green
To know I make you feel that way,
Does something very special to me.
So when I look into your amazing eyes,
and I see them begin to change,
I know deep within my heart
that your feeling the same way.
Though our bodies no longer embrace,
Like they have so many times before,
I am honored to be your friend
and I shall be until my heart beats no more.
I have made many mistakes
through the years as we grew,
But it has never been a mistake,
Me Loving you.
We made many memories along the way,
I will cherish them all until the end of days.
But now please know that I am your friend,
And knowing what I know now,
I would do it all again.
however there are a few things I would change,
You would know without a doubt
That I loved you each and every day.
So sweet brown eyes,
The next time you see me stare,
I am just enjoying the moment.
And I’m simply trying to see,
Do they still turn green when I am near?
