We send letters to end things,
creating, mending, and bending the rules.
We use tools from the box they made us,
things they gave us to save us.
They taught us to cope, taught us to break,
taught us to lose and heal and spiral and cry.
We need to reach each other where we are,
even if that’s far away,
we send letters.
