Reflection Pool
I’ve been creating soft wakes in time since I was young.
While other girls acted as mirrors for some and oceans for others,
I always just managed to create a gentle ripple from dusk till dawn.
Mirrors and oceans are far easier to adjust to than a constantly wrinkling surface.
I think maybe, though,
if you had spent more time looking at me
and less time looking through me,
the water would still.
