On My Way

I used to sit down and contemplate on things to do to get me out of my situation. I had a girl to take care of and a baby to feed so that was my motivation.
I felt so low I was laying down even when I would stand trying not to ask for help to keep my dignity and my pride as a man.
Praying to God to help me out because that is who I put my faith in yet trying to do it alone and barely getting by I was skating.
But the ice was thin and my weight to great it was only a matter of time before my situation or the “ice” would break.
I fell through and looked around but saw no way out so I gave up hope as I began to drown....
No! I won’t drown! So I kicked that’s a prayer and I kicked another prayer through all this Ice til I got to the top layer.
God took me from the bottom where he left the weight and put me on solid ground where I could stand and Not Skate.
It’s still not easy but I’m walking safe and I’m on my way to the top at a slow but steady pace.
I thank god everyday for the ability to take care of my family and to make the right decisions on my path to prosperity.
