A Rockin’ Long Time

“To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.”
Bill Wilson

I’m here for the long haul, yes, I am
The day after forever, here I’ll be
I’m in for the rough times and the calm
In laughter or in tears, you’ll see me!

My love I pledge not just on sunny days
But even when grey clouds threaten rain
I’d show I care a thousand different ways
In joy or sorrow; in comfort or pain!

And as we grow into our golden years
This much I know, I’ll be in love with you
Be it good days, or even when trouble appears
To you, always shall I be, truer than true!

Warm summer days, and cold winter nights
Bright spring flowers, and autumn leaves!
Be it candlelight dinners or quick bites
Moments we’ll share, as time onward weaves!

There’ll be occasions when we’ll disagree
Something I say may hurt, that’s unfortunate
But they’re bumps in the road; that’s the key
For we have a life to enjoy and celebrate!

However, I must confess, the first we met
All I really wanted, a rockin’ good time
Knowing you, changed me, this I mustn’t forget!
Now I crave a good life for a rockin’ long time!
