Yes, we can’t take it with us

Cash or treasures of any kind;

Hearse without a trailer, thus

How we leave the world behind!

And it’s a truth we oft discuss

Yet we soon forget and go blind

We amass wealth and make a fuss

But our salvation we can’t find!

No, of course we leave everything behind including the love we gave to our loved ones that we had hoped they would keep as treasures from us. And for many the wealth they amass had enabled them to share some little happiness with the poor and the underclass. And I fervently hope more people do this especially now in this Season of Joy. Any gesture of compassion to lift their spirits. Even a warming weather from nature.
Thanks Brod for this timely reminder. Also to you and Sim, A Merry Christmas .

If it is for self-glorification then indeed we might not find salvation. On the other hand one could be using the proverbial talent for others' sake which is not a bad thing. But then I think that one must try to discern if "for others' sake" might also be "for my own sake". Good one FA.
