Orbital World

I find myself, trying to find myself in this orbital conundrum called earth, that humans have cultivated, manifested, and destroyed

I find bugs on the grass and in the air

I find new places to explore
new sites to see
new foods to taste
and new people to love

People come in variant shapes, sizes, colors, and genders
But the heart speaks louder than the mouth can yell
So pay attention to the heart, read it like a book

Skin is but bone coverage
The pigment of it is of no relevance to the heart
Shielding our insides from the wind and rain it finds its purpose

The heart is the epitome of the human body
The heart is what preserves life
A gift that is given from the sustainer that is meant to sustain us

It pumps crimson blood throughout our veins
Which stretch on for hundreds of feet

The red I see marks the end of life
Yet it saves us from death

They tell me to stand idly by but I can’t
What makes my life so valuable that I can’t risk it
Maybe I value life so much that I am willing to give up my own for another
Does that make me a hero
No
Absolutely not it makes me human

People ask me why I love others so much
Why I can’t even get by without feeling their touch
All I say is because I am loved as such
