Riding In the Wind

Dreaming of riding from the east coast to the west.
On a sunny day with her by my side would be best.
With just 3 bags and four wheels
We’ll drive wherever the wind blows our needs

Starting out in New York without a plan.
Through the Appalachians on a road without an end.
Stopping by the lakes of Illinois, staying at hotel ins.
Leaving all our cares behind for this time in the heavens.

We’re passing through the fields of Colorado
As the Sunlight paints them gold.
This photograph of her and me, and the fields of gold behind,
Represents a life in which we just forget of time.

Another gallon of gas later, into the west we come.
Overlooking the roads we took, of moments, memories and then some.
Parked up in the High Sierra, sitting under a tree.
A few more miles to go before the end of our journey.

Riding along on Route 66,
Stretched out for miles with all we miss.
Leaving behind an experience of bliss,
As we dream of riding into the wind.
