BIRTH

By J Ann Crowder

Spring was our birth

A season of airy hycinths and violets danced as we beheld discovery and sweetness within a genesis of life

Summer produced a jungle

A juncture, wild and spellbound by heat; we reached balmy shores, after journeying through twisting snares and biting thorns, drenching ourselves upon her angry torrents whilst searching for her calming twilight

Autumn relinquished a solemn breeze

Our skins were now bronzed with rose hues of ginger skies left behind by a fire’s brinning touch; ’tis an equinox of time when forrest trees madly ignite

In winter we rest

Our bones thus slumber in earthy sediment, bathing in her sacred minerals as we replenish a ground ripening in rebirth

A dawning tide arrives

’Tis a yearning of restorative tapestries as white canvases of winter melt behind masterpiece upon masterpiece reborn

Our journey parallels as God denotes beauty and magic in a renewal of all things

’Tis nature’s sacred promenade and God’s silent trilling upon fresh fountainheads

Ode to nature and spring. We can parallel our lives with the seasons and learn meaning and the powerful gift of renewal.
