Drive

I drive myself
Each night and returning day
In a frenzied tatter
Thinking on things I cannot
Bend our lady
To our heart strings
In a cocoon we’ve built
These tendril nights
In a bubble of thought
We’ve spilt mothers milk
On a sweet breath
We exchange
Morning changed
There was something bearable in it
More so.....
I hate the moon now
For if there was one part of you
Shining from atop
I’d stretch with large span
Wailing the beams as an echo
In my ears
Learning the poems
In your eyes
And taking stanzas for myself
And soon learn the rest by heart
Promise me that
In windy nights we shall be approved
To don the sea
Breathing together all beauty
As fly by in what we’ve created.
