Mere twinkle

Upon that hill that stood tall as giant’s teeth
Looming in the sky for a mere twinkle
Star-speckled and popping radiance
Swimming as far as planets from me
I crouched the earth under a hail of gunfire
Beauty was it’s voice, mine as pupil
Spitting blood that hug the walls
Dust swirls again the corridor
I walk as a monk on his haunt
Mesmerized in solid candlelight
Broken fragments I assemble
As light-monger in twilight below the shadowy
Room I dwell in
Born with silver vains contorted inside
These snakes wish to seep through
These arms walk with hope
Drowning images skipping through
A statue I erect with moth and demon
Praying these beasts that fly
All temple
Sleeping by the riverside
A rock as my only friend
For a twinkle to tickle me
Red as roses amd the black trim
That sweeps senses
Off to faint glowing lights
That dim as I move closer
Though I’ve heard the stories
And plainly can’t believe them
Inn a place I crave to stay
Is my calling
MAN be my metaphor
