Fading

To PaPa

Ever since you’ve left I try and hold on
A little tighter a little harder
But I can’t help it I lose my grip
A little looser a littler more
And bit by bit you start to fade
I hold on the best I can
A little tighter a little harder
My favorite memories gone because I can’t keep my grip
A little looser a little more
I’m ashamed because I cannot remember the simplest things
Your laugh your voice how you sang to me
It’s all becoming faded it all grows fuzzy

This poem for my grandpa Donald Lavern Morris he died last year of ALS and he always used to tell is 'I am blessed I laugh every day'
