I am Strong
The whispers of silence drift across the room
as I stare aimlessly into an empty gloom.
searching for solace of simplicit peace.
wondering how long my life will be in this lease.
Battling and struggling of the evil mind.
running scared trying to release the bind.
That holds me in an uncomfortable place
wondering if ever I’ll be able to end the Chase.
to what I see as untouchable bliss
and to let go of the things I simply must miss.
step forward into what’s to await
and realize that it must be the meaning of fate.
that keeps me bound by this shackling chain
as I continue to suffer with the pain.
the pain of what tomorrow may have in store.
but I say bring it on I can take a lot more.
so as I stand here bound to this great despair
I must tell you I’m strong so I simply don’t care.
