Alone like Brandy, sittin’ up in my room, darkness all around me but my thoughts are full of light thinking why am I even awake I do have a 9to5 to attend to in the AM right, I go punch that clock and the entire 10 hours I think about nothing but life and ask myself is this my purpose to work a job until I’m no longer worth it. With the economy the way it is today, why throw money towards a 401k? it’s my money and I need it now yesterday. Sometimes I find myself asking god am I in the way born into modern day slavery am I really suppose to die this way feeling like a robot day in, day out the same thing as yesterday it’s as if I’m not living for nothing the future, tomorrow nor today. I used to have this dream of being a writer until I got taken for my publishing like Diddy pretty much did his entire roster back in the day. I was the L.O.X and Ma$e a young dude anxious to get a deal but the contract I signed with page publishing gave them all the rights to feast off my spills and that’s not figuratively speaking yeah I might be a published author but like that dude told Rico in the movie Paid In Full, “ I ain’t eaten”. The Struggle of an Absent Mind written by me but you can’t ask me how many royalty checks I see because the answer would be not one actually I came out over 3 grand no refund. I’m from the streets for real. I was taught you take a lick you better strike back but I can’t fight these corporate pricks. My way of thinking was to show up to headquarters with the stick, put it on the desk and demand my respect. I try to convince myself I’m just happy to be a published author but truth be told I ain’t too thrilled about that l put my life into that book and ain’t seen one check. There’s this saying that you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket but what do you do when life’s given you eggs and you can’t find a basket. Many things I’m good at but when it comes to writing I’m passionate. Blood, sweat and tears I put my last in it. One last thing before I attempt to close my eyes to all  inspired writers is to confine all bullshit in any contract you sign.
