emerging

I feel as though
I’ve landed on a beach,
as an invading,
occupying force.
Only to find the land
unconquerable.
A series of interrupting
landscapes
meant to disable
the most advanced force
reality has ever seen.
And with each attempt
of encroaching,
more of the narrow-minded
strategy
is dissolved,
the equipment
abandoned,
until each person
walks out on their own,
into their own
direction,
into their own
liberation.
And the inhabitants
never doubted their future,
they had seen it
a million times before.
And they knew
the brilliance of
human creativity
and
desire
would be set free
on the landscape
they had designed.
