Let Go
Deep inside I resent you as if you failed as a mother,
Then again we all make mistakes so it won’t change the fact that I love her.
Had to learn how to love it was never properly explained,
It use to hurt just to say as if I associated it with pain.
I know attics are condidered sick but it was a choice that was made,
In other words self inflicted the road that you paved.
I can forgive for all considered wrong doing in my mind,
You took the time out of your life to provide me with mine.
I was once blinded by my feelings couldn’t find room for forgiveness,
Now I ask myself how, what was then is not now.
As I look at my own children I know mistakes have been made,
I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I was never forgave.
