Kay

Cloudy skies
Rainy days
Stormy nights
Where are the sunshine rays?

The wind howls
The tree branch goes 'ratatat’
I wish I could handle that
But I can’t
It’s too loud
Too far

Day after day
The storm seems to stay
No signs of fading
Of going away

Hit after hit
Can you see it?
Lightening outside
Electricity out
Time to hide

I don’t know how much longer
I can survive
Just want to lay down
And close my eyes

Wait where’s the rain?
Have I gone insane?
Look at that
A single ray
To wipe all my tears away

Oh my it’s true!
The sunlight is coming through!
I knew, I knew, I knew!

Oh ray of light
That shines so bright
Hold me in the darkest nights
Kiss my skin with your warmth
(Please) bring me no harm

Sunshine how I yearned
To see and feel
You once again
Let me sing my song of love
In hopes you’ll keep shining
From the heavens above

'You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You’ll never know dear how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away.'

To my little ray of hope <3
