Flying without wings

Broad are my shoulders,
Puffed are the muscles of my breast,
Mighty is my heart,  full of courage and conquest,

Focus in my eyes,
fixed at the horizon in the sight,
with the sky as the only limit,

I spread my majestic wings,
To defy the gravity’s pull,
To humble the heights and conquer the skies,

My mighty wings flapped, hard in vain,
Till the breath of my lungs drained,
The ego of my mighty heart deflated,
Now I lay collapsed on the ground in disdain,

I mull over and ponder,
But in the end it was all clear,
Now I realized that its neither my strength,
nor the power of my majestic wings,
Or the ego of my mighty heart,
But, what’s missing was the wind under my wings,
To lift me up and take me to the skies,
With the the air cleared and haze lifted from my eyes,
Now I’m flying without wings..!
