Stutter
All the passing moments
They are never coming back
I’ve known a solid surface
Before the land around me cracked
Walking into maybe
Like the problems that I hold
The only choice is facing them
When, the opposite is fold
Holding memories saves me
When I stack them far way
Until I hear them whispering
Asking kindly.....
Could I stay?
A deeper understanding
I’m just one leaf inside a gutter
I love the sound my engine makes
Until it starts to stutter!
The light that blinds is guiding
When it’s not distracting from my view
Promise is an old word
That was once considered new
Carry me with rising water
Massage my vessels as I rest
Mother me and I will....
No longer be a guest
Then....
At once the distance covered, I lay
And wonder what I feared
Then I start you all again
Dissolving ice, that disappeared!
Wake me up with questions
I don’t want you to ever go away
But while I rest on cobbled stones
I’m glad at least you had your say!
