Summerland

Shedding the drapes of yesterday
To embrace the world tonight

My flesh absorbing the crisp flowing air
Free toes of mine mingling with the dew covered grass
My round face accepting the warmth of the flames
That take up the center of my carefully cast circle

In my most primal state
Dressed in the clothes in which I was born
Moving to the beat of my life

Swaying with the whimsical wind
I wish this night would never end
Spinning with the cracks of the confident fire
As my temple like body fills with desire
Singing in tune with my racing heart beat
Taking and then giving off my own heat

Giving Thanks to my Mother and Father
Who have given the time to carefully create me
Like they do with all their children
And plan out the perfect lesson for this life

I am in no hurry
Though I do look forward to returning home
Summerland is where I’ll rest
Untill I am ready to start this dance again.

(2014)

I may not have parents that want to take care of me. I do have gaurdians that I know will always be here for me though.
