Paranoia
Scared to leave the house
Cruel eyes staring at her every move
Voices in her head
She hears their judgement
Paranoia envelops her mind
Her eyes dart hysterically
To and fro
Wondering who is watching
Who is judging
Who is laughing
They don’t understand the anguish inside her
The way their harsh gaze lingers in her memory
Making her feel more insane
Than she already does
She doesn’t want to wake up
She doesn’t want to leave her cocoon of blankets
They shield her from the coldness of the world
She won’t be judged there
A twisting feeling in the pit of her stomach
Maggots squirming inside
At the very thought of facing the world
It’s easier in her bed
It will keep her warm and safe
She will never leave there
