You are my love.

You are the One i call for when my heart trembles and quivers. in the dark, Your light and divinity encompass me. An-Nur, You Illuminate the darkest corners of my heart and my mind. You see and hear what i cannot (Al-Basir, As-Sami). you guide me and protect me (Al-Muhaymin). You hold my heart gently, You are Al-Latif, The Gentle. Your Gentle love fills my lungs, fills my heart, fills my core.

You are Al-Azeem, The most Magnificent. You are the One i give thanks to when i’m in tears and trembling in pain. because of You, even in grief i smile, for even smiling is an act of charity. Al-Ghaffar, i pray to never stop seeking for your forgiveness. i pray my lips never stop whispering Your most majestic name, for You are Al-Hayyu Al-Qayyum.

You are Al-Muqaddim (The Expeditor), Al-Mu’akhkhir (The Delayer), for only You truly know when my aching heart is ready for Your abundance of blessings. The All Mighty, who holds all strength and power, and commands the universe with His will each hour. Al-Shafi (The Healer), oh my Beloved, grant me serenity for only You know how broken and torn i am. The Giver of Peace, As-Salam, who grants us tranquility and protects us from all harm and hostility.

Al-Wadud, i pray for my heart to only belong to You. close the doors of my heart and turn me to You. let my love for You grow and bloom. i only pray to glow with Your love, for You are the cool air in my lungs, the warm embrace of the sun, the softness of the light against my eyelids, the gentle silence in the dark night. i feel You as my heart thumps against my chest ever so delicately, as i take a deep breath, You are the calm that fills me up.

Oh Allah, Ya Rabul Al-Ameen, i pray to feel Your tranquility with every breath and step i take.
