#Life #LossLove
You were the wind beneath my wings but I was Icarus so all I did
So much time passes without feeling a single thing that I think I would give anything
There is poetry in nature better left to be spoken wordlessly by the breeze
I would write a sweet poem and title it with your name if I loved you at all
I know that you were there in my dreams and in my arms Every dream we
You asked what I knew about you and I thought up a list of twenty things
I see words screaming for attention etched in the lines of your face Let me look closer
To put it simply each beat of your heart is a gift that I receive with the anticipation of a child at christmas
I have whispered your name into the air so many times it has become the breeze that blows
Life is an uphill struggle Nothing comes easy and only hard work pays off I don’t like hard work was my 5 word protest
I awoke from a deep sleep and knew the reason was to write I love you
Passion doesn’t arise from 12 point Times New Roman but rather from ink on one page and another
I see poems that need to be written scrawled in the shape of your smile and the lines of your face
The pen must be mightier than the sword For there is nothing that will spill your guts faster than a bit of ink that says
I get my silence in five minute doses before the plane overhead brings me back to earth
