a song

There’s a song I didn’t sing,
I have a tin ear.
It goes through my mind tune less,
Like a sound that almost was there.
I so miss the music that isn’t in my life,
My eyes water at concerts watching the hearer’s  delight
A piano sets me to tears, even as the melody disappears
Oh, the joy of not having joy
The cadence of tunes that aren’t there
Sets my soul aflutter
I so love despair.
