Dear life I’M NOT AFRAID OF DEATH
Dear life, I am not afraid of death
For in the face of it, I take a deep breath
And though it may seem like the end
I know it’s just a new beginning, my friend
For the thought of death brings a sense of wonder
A reminder to cherish each moment, no time to squander
To live life to the fullest, to savor every taste
To appreciate the beauty of the world, in all its grace
So dear life, let me live with passion and zeal
To explore new places, to see and feel
To take risks and challenges with an open heart
To learn and grow, to be a work of art
For death may come, but it’s not here yet
So let me make the most of what I’ve got left
To love and be loved, to laugh and to cry
To experience all that life has to supply
And when my time comes, I’ll embrace it with grace
Knowing I lived my life, at my own pace
So dear life, thank you for this precious gift
And may I continue to live fully, until my last shift.
