Dear me, we will defeat the depression
And find our way back to the light’s effervescence
For though the shadows may seem too deep
Our spirits shall rise, our souls shall leap.
The weight we carry may seem too much to bear
But with each step, we’ll find a new path to repair
And though the journey may be long and hard
Our hearts will be our compass, our guide, our bard.
We’ll find the beauty in each moment, each breath
And fill our days with love, with joy, with zest
For life is too precious, too fleeting, too divine
To let depression’s darkness forever define
So let us rise, dear me, with courage and might
And chase away the shadows with all our might
For we are warriors, strong and brave
And we will defeat the depression, and rise again from the grave
And when the light returns, as it surely will
We’ll sunbathe in its warmth, and feel our hearts fill
With gratitude, with love, with a renewed sense of purpose
And live each day to the fullest, Embracing a mindset of gratitude
