lemon drop

the skin of the fruit
peels the silver wrapper
off of the kiss, as i place
in your mouth
—the melting seeds
dripping out of the fruit
as it pulls it’s skin back on
lemon on sugar
would like it that way
to be sweet
through and thru
the mark where the seeds
fell to the ground
watered by you
brings much life
