painting again
abstract paint i did again
after many years gone by
forgot the feeling of the strokes
mixing of hews to blend
much like poetry, never seeing
the end until it’s over
five colors one brush
never rinsing or rush
carefully covering the sheet
not even sure which way is up
the images dance in the air
as you stare
at the outcome
maybe adding words
snap a photo
to share later
greeting cards might be the thing
of the past or the future
one hopes to be encouraged
when opening the received
some even sing
i have been told
UN-hiding the hidden
gets it sold
to the highest bidder
that had color on her knuckles
reading again and again
as with the flowers in spring
a pretty bouquet planted for you
