Unto My Own

With two so strong, they’ll walk this life,
as other pass them by.
The good and bad, they’ll share and fight,
with each, to help and guide.

But while they have this, I fight this fear,
that alone, I’ll always stay.
Yet I, not they, do bear this shame,
and be more cursed then they.

I sleep, I walk, I talk, and now live,
forever, with this past.
While hoping that this lonesome life,
so dark, would go by fast.

With growing fear, I tried my best,
by bribing some to stay.
But in this life, I soon would find,
they too, would just walk away.

This life is a road that bids me go,
no helping hand to lend.
Yet still I stand here all alone,
with none to call, a friend.
