What Came About
I don’t know how it came about,
or who it was that said out loud,
“it’s coming now, and killing fast,
go tell your friends, and grab a mask”.
So that we did, not sure from what,
But soon found out, what COVID was,
A foreign virus, brought death so near,
Would then in turn, cause mayhem/fear,
So then we did, like most who are,
afraid and confused, we fell apart.
Danger, danger, lurking around,
the who or what, was never found.
But I for one, know all to clear,
the only danger here, is fear!
The voices started,"why or when,
Or who should do just what," and then,
a voice rang out so strong and brave,
“ we have each other, lets not be afraid”.
So that we did, we came together,
And just like that, we all got better.
Danger, danger, lurking around,
the who or what, was never found.
But I for one, know all to clear,
the only danger here, is fear!
I don’t know what is was, that came,
But whatever it was, we’re not the same,
We came together, the people, the town,
and the thing that came, was never found.
