Many desperate folks in pain want to cultivate
Their need for therapeutic cannaboids is great
But they risk the wrath of a bent judicial system
Punishment for a peaceful act harming no one
The planting and photosynthesis of a pot plant
Is a natural act ordained by God made a crime
It is a bogus unrighteous law that has no merit
Do they risk the ordeal of arrest by Robocops?
The approbation of the state that hates hemp
Intimidation, humiliation, bail and court visits?
The last thing a sick person needs is porridge
Locked up in a cell with rheumatoid symptom
Treated like they’re worse than serial murderer
Rapist, child abuser, swindler or rough mugger
When in reality it’s their horticultural endeavour
Trying to grow a crop to relieve everyday aches
Their motive is not crime but ridding their pain
Arresting poorly people for using pot is insanity
Cannabis arrest is police misconduct an’ wrong
False arrest by order of state, is a heinous crime
When police steal sick folks cannabis medicine
They’re abusing their power in a malevolent way
So shame on po-po for inciting fear in the infirm
