A Painful Ruby Tuesday
We met her today
and her daughter, as well
But Trump and his people
have made their lives hell.
They embraced our democracy
And helped count our votes
Until Rudy’s false theories
made them fear for their throats.
Their lives were upended
And that’s come with a cost
Without courage like theirs
Our nation could be lost.
So here is a note
to give them their due
In the hope that Americans
to our country stay true.
