Meaning he could do anything he wanted
To remain in power, whatever the cost.
He dispatched an armed mob to our Capitol
To overturn a fair election and see to it
that a legitimate outcome was tossed.
The treacherous Machiavelli once said
“The end justifies the means” and centuries later
This American experiment nearly was lost.
