The New-born, by Georges de La Tour
Clementine

undeniably obvious

You beg and plead, come to my aid.
“the boy who cried wolf”
Always in trouble.
When I see you, I see double.
No need to cry out, this is the worst.
You scream and cry, in need of thirst.
You scavenge the jungle, looking for revenge.
Die in a pool of self pity.
There is an easy way out of this tunnel, my dear.
But, you cower in your undeniable fear.
One day you wont steer clear, of the truth..
my dear, my dear.
