Struggle For Movement

I’m bound to this Earth without any arms or limbs to take me there.
The only functioning part I have is, my brain.
I’m a tiny earthworm.
Yes, that pink plump creature that exposes itself, out on rainy days and
Feeds on the decomposition decay so
I can sustain life to provide oxygen towards the trees.
If my arms are heavy as lead, I might as well sacrifice a limb or two to get to my destination.
Severing an arm may be painful but this no time to get depressed.
Who knows? Can I, an earthworm be depressed?
I travel relentlessly in order to escape the risk of drowning but to digest decay
That has eroded away from natural causes.
Despite being a creature without any limbs and lacking speed compared to most vertebrae,
I say, my feat is pretty impressive.
I am a great asset to this life being able to travel underground channels.
Many may look down upon me for being simply gross but also not getting to my goal
As quick as I anticipated. That has not stopped me from being a part of this Earth
Of how Mother Nature created me to be.
No matter where I am, any discrimination I face,
There is always the fact that my fight will prevail over hardship in the end.

Got inspired from watching Animal Planet and Jack Kerouac's quote. " My arms are heavy. I've got the blues: there's a locomotive in my chest and that's a fact."
