Dark Spiral

Sunlight breaks in the dead of night
Do not stand in the shadow of fright
That day is over it cannot come right
But stay it does within you’re sight
The edge of the room is dressed in white
But do not fly, there is no sense in trying

You may now dream upon this scene
Never can you begin to redeem
The things that are forever unseen
In darkness, like a broken guillotine
The slaves in rags bring down the kerosene
And you’re not the only person crying

The pages of yesterday fill the void
There is nothing that you cannot avoid
Even your so-called friend is an android
Filled to the head with a solenoid
There is no point in being annoyed
You’ll be just one more person sighing

Do not take flight, stay put and fight
Do not take aim, stay in the game
Try to understand that you’re not the flame
That they follow blindly without their sight
Above them you fly your own alibi
All you need do is to say goodbye
Everything then will be complying…
