Corporate Rolling
Full steam ahead, man the throttles
Up ahead we go, and up ahead we own
We surge ahead with the wind and the rain
We stop when the oceans dry up
We stop when the birds run out of melodies
When the mountains flatten out
When restless mankind finds its peace
When religion is taken over by God
When corporations comply with the meek
And lose themselves in their new identity
Until then we gather up all our resources
We find as many geniuses that we can
We lure them in with the finest offerings
We teach them that morality is for the weak
Technology is the new Godhead
To lead them to the promised land
We push the limits on legality
We hire the most cunning lawyers
With fancy suits, cars, houses
Gorgeous wives who hate them
With their children who saw them once
Then with all the power and money
We start the ball rolling
As we gather up more power
Little man ahead, take heed
All hell is coming through
There’s nowhere to run to
You’ll be swept up with
Corporations in their rolling

Thank you very much, Jenifer. Yea, I guess you can say reality is pretty scary.

Such a scary thought reality is. Taking off the rose colored glasses helps us realize what is most important. It's certainly not money. Well written!

Thank you, Charlotte. I had to get it all off my chest. I do like some things about corporations. They employ us.

Yes it does seem like everything these days is technology. There's good and bad in everything, and we have to be careful we don't get swept away in the wrong things. I find wisdom in your words.
