Ego Versus Worship

Since God is responsible for giving me a talent, I feel like it is my duty to worship and thank him. He also gave me the ability to find it within me. Since I am at liberty to exercise my free will, I have let my ego interfere with my accomplishments. Instead of keeping him in mind when I perform my music and do my writing, I praise myself instead of him.
When I am at the peak of my performance, because of him I am able to reach it. He gave me the power. I didn’t give it to myself. I don’t have it within me. There is something spiritual that pushed and guided me along the way. It took a hold of me and moved my fingers at the piano and my mind when I was writing. If I never experienced that, I would have never known how it worked.
My ego is because of him. I need my ego when I perform. My evaluation of myself is most necessary. Through my evaluation, I must always think I am worthy of doing what I am supposed to do and not that I am the best. To be the best, I must be better than God. How can anybody be better than that? I am a musician and a writer that has to know where the power came from. When I realize that, I can perform at a level that he set for me to reach, and through my understanding, I can reach it. Thank God.
