Air and melody a potpourri of sound
a mixture of sweetness all around
of jasmine permeating the absorbent air
and melody running through an earnest prayer
melodious psalms in harmony with the wind
praising the earth and sky therein
carrying secrets of the life upon the earth
and the stories of how they spawned at birth
air without melody is air trapped in a vacuum
a space needed for whence they commune
like man and woman to keep life alive
fueling their desires to survive
sweet, sweet air, sweet melodies afloat
dormant feelings risen up and awoke
the rites of revelry sounded by trumpets
from eastern skies and the blazing sunsets
air and melody, the two combined
like the sun and rain by visionary design
air alone without music within
a melody without room to rise up and spin
an ode to music and the life of it
