Forsythia Pride

“I’m the foremost beautiful sight
as early spring-time comes to light.
My yellow buds are so very elegant
as I appear for the season I represent.
I’m the most loved one of all the greens,
superior to all for which it seems.
 
I’m not a bragger, but just tell the truth;
that I am the greatest for in my youth.
I am the queen of the rolling hills,
green and yellow with all the frills,
the highest of all the upper highs
and what a sight for the sorest of eyes.
I’m all dressed up in my Forsythia best.”
