Orphan boy, how you have
Grown up all by yourself,
God’s creation, a perfect boy,
From out of the wilderness
With no family to love you,
A victim of selfish lovers,
Through no fault of your own.
You learned about morality
From strangers.
Some were good and some were bad.
You have chosen
The right ones to listen to.
You found your talent.
Congratulations.
You thanked God
For his blessings every day.
You found his will in you to be like him.
You bettered yourself in every way.
You found that success
Comes from hard work.
You lived up to his expectations of you.
You were orphaned by people,
But not by him.
Congratulations, orphan man.

Plus the fact that he could have met a very wise person that had a great influence on his life.

I sure admire someone who did it on his own. He had no parental guidance and no one to steer him in the right direction. I guess it was his innate conscience that did it. God bless that lonely boy.

Lovely poem. Many, many orphans are dreamers. If only they have a chance they’d surely be not orphaned grown ups.
Like. Thanks Robert,
