The Budding

The Budding

A blanket of emeralds reach across the meadows
As summertime nears with its bright green yellows
Mountain streams in their proud cascading
The rites of spring in their joyful parading

The snows in their warming as an open hearth
Kisses the ground and sinks into the earth
Orchards awaken with their bountiful budding
While Mother Nature begins her gentle cuddling

We sing glorious hymns to the dawn of spring
Of gratitude to what the seasons bring
An optimistic chant to better days ahead
When a warm hello puts wintertime to bed
An ode to life and its welcome transformation
An ode to springtime with the deepest adoration
Let the budding begin
