I hope your favorite team is up for the game,
for victory at the very end to lay claim;
from the opening kickoff til the very last play,
with intrepid eyes and all the fear gone away.
 
Football is for winners with a winning spirit,
to keep advancing the ball and never quit.
I hope your team has that look in their eyes
with that taste of victory, the creed of the wise.

I wrote this for The Belt and Beyond, Super Bowl issue.
