Innocence
I had my innocence stolen from me
A long time ago
Maybe that’s why I hardly ever date
And daydream of the day I might have the happiness
Of having the company
Of a woman who wants to be with me as much as I want to be with her
Because I lost my innocence and I’m trying to steal it back
I want to lose my innocence the way I see fit
Though I am not innocent at all
But yes
I’ve been through a bit in my life
And I carry that burden every step of the way
Yet it makes me who I am
And I want someone to love me for who I am
Just exactly that
In all aspects of the ways of life
That’s the way I see it
I’m stealing back what was stolen from me
Loneliness is just a step back from happiness
And there is no
Greater love
Than the love
Of a woman
Who loves who I am
Purely
Who wants me
Just as much as I want her
